Press release - Toledo Lucas County Public Library

Events include a photography exhibit, film screenings, and workshops

Toledo Library customers are invited to experience Main Library in unique and exciting ways as part of its new events series, “Main Library Takeover.” Local partners are invited to "takeover" the iconic downtown Toledo building’s spaces, offering organizations new and different opportunities to connect with the community. Running Wild Media, a film production company that specializes in wildlife, science expedition, and conservation filmmaking, is the first local partner to participate in the series.

“The Toledo Lucas County Public Library is the first place people go when they want to broaden their horizons,” said Kathy Selking, the Library’s director of development, affinity, and events. “Our Main Library Takeover series was developed with that in mind and why we are excited to kick off the series with Running Wild Media, who share compelling, visual stories of conservation and adventure from their travels both near and far.”

The Running Wild Media takeover begins with a special photography exhibit in Main Library’s gallery space. The exhibit highlights extraordinary wildlife from around the world and their intriguing conservation stories through captivating visuals and powerful interpretation. A special presentation and Q&A with Running Wild Media founders Alex Goetz and Justin Grubb will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, followed by the public opening of the exhibit at 7 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through Monday, Feb. 28, 2022.
